Red

CNY comes and goes in a wink. This time round I didn't get sick like last year, luckily. CNY is quite a nightmare to me. The only good thing that comes out of it is the hongbaos. Some of my relatives (the further ones) don't know me because the gap between me and my two brothers is big, they only remember my brothers. My 2nd brother has been escaping CNY visits for the past 3 years. I totally understand him. This year, my parents didn't want to go too many places, so we only went to a couple. Thank goodness. Especially when I'm in this awkward situation of not having a job or a boyfriend. So this time round, it was more of just hanging out with my family. We made a trip to Sentosa Flowers event and I feel so cheated. I was under the illusion that I'm there to see banglas instead of flowers. A lingering scent of spices in the air made it worse. Oh well, there will definitely not be a second time.

Bunnies~~

More WIP. I've been working hard. Really.
The whiskers are such a killer. And I still think it's not fine enough.
Anyways, this hot pink bunny came about from Tiger&Bunny.
It's the plush Barnaby is hugging below.

I just cannot resist making it into ear studs!
I probably might just sew the bunny plush for myself someday =3

I did worry about selling fan art stuff when I started...
you know...all the copyright issues and stuff. It's such a gray area.
But, after seeing fan art items that some people sell, I think I'm waaaay okay.
I really, really want to make One Piece stuff!!!!
I'll get to it, I swear!

Dinner no ato de

"Nazotoki wa Dinner no ato de" is a pretty interesting drama. The whole drama revolves around a very rich ojou-sama and her butler solving crimes. Mainly it's the butler who does the solving, and he explains the case only after ojou-sama has her dinner, hence the title. The luxurious dinner hall captured my attention more than anything else, especially the sumpuous dinner served to ojou-sama. Much to my delight, the official website put up a menu of all the dinner courses! If only they could include recipes as well. Oh well, at least there are photos to drool over.

P.S. It's so nice to have a butler who can whip up such dishes!!!

Blue Hearts

完成しました!
Or at least 95% of it. Only left with some minor touch ups.
Because of my stupidity, I have half of the batch slightly larger than the rest by just a wee bit (left half of the photo). The blue heart here is also much larger than the prototype. But still looks ok huh? Any smaller I'd probably go crazy, which I almost did from cutting out 60+ little hearts, not to mention over 120 ears. This work is really having an effect on my back. I need to find some way to make my working posture more comfortable, else I'll probably end up hunched in a year or two.

Wish I could erase it

I remember when I was young, the television used to air an anime called Ranma1/2. Sadly, I never got to know the ending as it was never completely aired. I guess the series was a tad too long, running at 161 episodes, 13 ovas and 2 feature films!
Anyways, what brought me onto this topic was because I saw a live-action adaption of Ranma1/2 and decided to give it a try. After 10mins into the show I just had to pull out. Now the horrible image is stuck in my head. I guess it was a bad decision to adapt it into a live-action. There seems to be a rise on the adaptation of manga/anime into live-action. I don't mind them if they're good, but there seem to be more bad ones than good. Are scriptwriters dying out? What happened to originality? Well, at least think twice when choosing a successful manga/anime to adapt, not all are suitable. Imagine a live-action One Piece or FMA, I'd sooner knock myself out then to watch it.
I have my doubts regarding the upcoming Rurouni Kenshin live-action movie, the trailer looks really promising though. Hope that they won't screw up another classic.
