Bursting with Happiness

Birthday present from my wonderful wonderful fyp mates. It's a pretty big box, and heavy, weighing 7kg according to yt. They refused to tell me what's inside, and what i randomly guessed (big domo, domo suit?!, random assortment of cute stuff) was all incorrect.

After i removed the wrapping.
Thought process as i was slowing unwrapping:
-saw the word brother "what a strange box to use as a container...hmm maybe yt recycled a printer box from her home "
-saw part of the machine picture "ey? dont look like printer box leh. aiya heck. "
-saw full sewing machine picture "sewing machine? cannot be la...inside must be smth else..."

*shock* ∑(O_O)
Serious? No joke? Is this for real? *rub eyes* Those guys are mad! They're crazy! This is the craziest present I've even received!!! Oh man I luv those crazy guys! Awwwwwwwwww~ `)

wow. seriously. i would never have thought of giving someone a sewing machine for a present. It's the strangest weirdest most peculiar but very practical present huh.

oh no. that means i have no excuse to not make stuff from the pile of cloth i've been collecting randomly. And on a sidenote, when i heard that yt initially suggested to give me a pile of cloth as present......in my head i was thinking "that's actually not bad eh". But then again, that is a even odder present then a sewing machine.

Thanks to my fabulous fyp mates! Big hug to all of you!!

Tango Fire

Juz came back from watching a Tango dance performance at Esplanade. No such thing as ticket lottery in sg sadly...even though it's not full house. So had to buy pretty expensive tix *heartache* who wants to be sitting all squashed up in some pathetic corner of the theatre hall far away from stage catching only a glimpse of the dancers?! (i tried being stingy once and totally regretted it) Of course buy better seats la!

Oooh the performance was really good! Spectacular! Even if i don't know a thing about tango. The dancers have really good figure. Half the time i was admiring their slender legs and tiny waists *big sigh*
Heck about the male dancers...they were all wearing loose-fitting suits...of course skimpy dresses catches the eye more...moreover they're not that good-looking.

This is what I call 'Poetry in Motion'.

Itsy Bitsy

Yay~ this arrived in my mail today!
Miniatures! If you didn't know...miniatures has always been my secret love =D
I kinda bought them on impulse, cause it was on sale, ahahaaaa~
Well, the photo only shows half the set, there's still another cupboard and porcelain set. I guess this set was cheaper cause the handiwork is not really very delicate, but it's good enough =)
ワクワクしますね〜

Not so happy meal

McDonald’s Happy Meal resists decomposition for six months

I am disgusted!!
Although I already knew that mac fries don't decompose, I had no idea their burgers can be preserved too!! Glad that I only eat mac once in a blue blue moon since years ago, but right now I am determined to quit it 100% for life. Hurr...maybe I should go grab a happy meal and test out it's resistance.

ふわふわ〜

These are cushions which i sewed for my FYP group mates, customized with different expressions. They are faces of the smore characters in my FYP film. They're of a decent hugging size, as can be seen in comparison to an ipod touch. According to feedback from yt, they're 'very very very nice to hug'. hee..i'm happy with myself. And yes, this is what I do in my free time, making these kind of useless stuff =D

You're as important as salt is to me

I love this ad. The last scene of crying salt is just cute.
Salty has sequels which you can find on youtube.

And it's a blank...

I haven't started working and I'm already thinking of retirement. How nice would that be...to sit in my house backyard, sip a cup of tea and enjoy doing nothing. I think I have the mentality of a 60-yr-old.

I kinda dread meeting old friends nowadays. The first thing they ask is 'so..what you doing now?'.
Sounds familiar? It's the same thing you get every CNY. The next thing they ask is 'do you have a facebook?'. At least aunts and uncles won't ask that, but cousins do =_= i'm so sick of having to explain why I don't have a facebook. Then the conversation ends there cause I don't know what else to say. A few times I actually considered taking the vow of silence so I won't have to handle all these. I wonder if it's because of my family. My mum can't stop talking. The rest of us don't like to talk. And we're amazed at my mum's PR skills...she always knows what's going on with the neighbors, and she can talk a salesperson into giving her discounts and free gifts. Pity I didn't inherit that.

Redu

HunterGatherer: Redu

A mere 2 minute production, looks simple, but reality is never what it seems to be. It is created using thousands of individual cut blocks. Reminds me of a certain claymation work from N.E.mation. HunterGatherer showcases many of their works onsite, and using cut wooden blocks seem to be their forte. Several beautiful creations, but just thinking about the amount of work to be done gives me the shivers. It'll probably take me a year just to cut the blocks.

Make Some Noise

I have finally decided to get a blog.
The reason being: if i remain nonexistent in the virtual world any longer, my existence will be wiped away in reality.
Cheers to myself.
And may this blog be dust-free as long as i still breathe.
